Letter from a youth to his prospective employer
sir: i refer to my interview and your salary offer: you said i would be given a commensurate salary: commensurate with what? the depth of the filing cabinet or the old bag sitting 3 desks and one right-hand corner away? i am reasonably qualified: quite handsome: my lack of experience compensated by my prodigal intelligence: i shall not expect to marry the typewriter: it's a decision-making i am after: that's what i am: a leader of tomorrow so why don't you make it today? my personality is personable: and all opportunities being equal: i am equal to any most opportune moment: any most momentous opportunity: so take me to your highest superior: and spare nothing: at my earliest convenience: yours faithfully, Arthur Yap.

Philosophical insight and response
Before beginning to read about the letter, based on the title itself, I had an impression that the letter would be less proffesional that it should be. the title is not in uppercase, and it did not get my attention. If i were the employer, i would not read the letter at all because it did not seem important to me.
During reading the poem, I feel lost as the punctuations used was improper. I didn't know where to end or begin my sentence. And this caused a complete destruption to the poem as I was no longer interested to continue reading it.
After reading the poem, I did understand what the youth was trying to convey. Perhaps his aim to compose a better letter so that his employer would be convince is to use better vocabulary. With that, he may attract the attention of his employer. All in all, I feel that the poem was a good attempt in writing a professional letter. Due to his young age, his use of the English Language may not be strong enough. Thus, the letter seem unproffesional and amateur.
